On the 12th of January, in the midst of a snow storm in Switzerland, Béatrice Meyer (bia) was born. Maybe this is the reason that she likes the warmer southern countries and the sun, especially Brazil and Italy. These countries, their colors, their culture and their love to live are all sources of inspiration. The music world and jazz are also very important factors of her life and transpire in her collages. Through her collages, Béatrice has found a personal maner of expression. She is able to exteriorize histories, music and the colors that balance around her mind. The collages are a gathering of magazine photos, newspapers and colors, of gyps, paint and paillettes. For more than 10 years now, this autodactic refines her technique. She has several expositions, notably in Bienne, Tavannes and Corcelles (Switzerland) and in Ischia (Italy). "If I can make someone dream", she says, "than I've reached my goal".
